About Amana Living
Amana Living is the principal aged care agency of the Anglican Diocese of Perth and has been serving the community since 1962. As a Public Benevolent Institution incorporated under the Incorporations Act 1987, Amana Living receives operating subsidies from the Federal Government for its nursing homes and hostels; however it does not receive any financial support from the Diocese.
Regarding its Retirement Villages, Amana Living's philosophy is that they should be much more than just a real estate development. They are communities designed for fully independent older people that provide a variety of accommodation styles and amenities.
The major benefit of a Village lifestyle is the easy access residents have to friendship and social activities. Retirement Village life rekindles a sense of community spirit while allowing residents to retain their privacy and independence.
Each Village has its own unique atmosphere and provides a range of recreational facilities. Residents' Committees operate at most Villages and this means that most of the activities are arranged for the residents by the residents. While some residents take advantage of care services provided by outside agencies, Amana Living Community Services provides a full range of options to support people living in their villages should they require a little extra help.
In addition to its 18 retirement villages, Amana Living also delivers a diverse range of aged care, accommodation and other services all designed to provide comfort, security and support. For further information on Amana Living, please visit the Amana Living website at www.amanaliving.com.au.
